Green Banker steps up its game when the going gets tough (VIDEO)

No doubt about it - everywhere you look, it is tough economic times, and the real estate market is feeling it in some sectors. But Green Banker never steps back from a challenge - and we are happy to report in the first four months of 2010, we sold over 88 million dollars in residential properties on the peninsula. And the pace isn't letting up. It's like disco inferno - we just can't stop!

Another rumor put to rest

Sometimes we hear through word of mouth that agents at other firms tell potential clients they won't sell Green Banker listings. The reason is our low broker commission (starting at 3.68%).

This certainly isn't true for all agents, but we hear it enough. And it seems odd for a few reasons: (A) it certainly is not working in a client's best interest if his or her agent is not showing them all the available homes because they don't want to forego their standard commission; and (B) we sell a lot of homes through other agents (or at least it seemed that way), so it just didn't add up.

In the interest of science, we did a little research and the stats speak for themselves:

in 2007, 61% of Green Banker listings were sold by agents from other companies.
In 2008, 49% of Green Banker listings were sold by agents from other companies.
And in 2009, a whopping 73% of Green Banker listings were sold by agents from other companies.

So that settles that...
